This is a Fieldfare nest. I use to call Fieldfares for Kamikaze pilots since they defend their nests and chicks without any fear whatsoever – they bomb with their feces, So you can rest assured that this nest was empty. 🙂 To have a couple of fieldfares in the garden is a good guard for all small nesting birds.

Interesting bird that according to Birdguides we do not have in the U.S.
They are very common in Stockholm. It took me some time to realize the positive effect on small birds´nesting to have also Fieldfares around.
